Indonesia: A Perfect Destination for Indian Tourists

It offers extraordinary place for Film Shooting and Wedding Venues 

Indonesia has become a popular tourist destination for Indian tourists. Its popularity is growing manifold in last couple of years. To attract further more tourists from India, Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board in association with Consulate General of Indonesia in Mumbai has chalked out an extensive plan. They both together organized media familiarization tour of Journalists, Bloggers and YouTuber to promote Bali and Lombok.

There were two journalists from Mumbai, one Youtuber and eight bloggers from various parts of India, exclusively flown to Indonesia to get firsthand real time experience. All eleven-member media familiarization team along with officials from Consulate General office of Mumbai, officials from Indonesia Tourism and officials from Central Lombok showed numerous tourist places.

I was a part of the media familiarization tour and could see various favorite tourist’s destination. All I could say, Bali and Lombok are best of the tourist destinations which can be certainly liked by Indian tourists. At both destination all type of interesting tourist places is available.

Places we visited in Bali and Lombok: Our first destination was Bali, where we took break for a night and proceeded to Lombok next day. In Lombok we visited Tanjung aan and merese hill for sunset, you can have a peak of the setting sun from there. In Lombok we have visited important tourist destination which are really worth visiting. These includes Sasak traditional village and Sukrara Weaving Village, Banyumulek pottery village, explored Mayura Park and visited Praja Souvenir. It was an awesome experience of life visiting Gili meno, Gili Trawangan for snorkeling and Gili Air (Gili Air is the perfect tropical destination for families with kids, for backpackers, for honeymooners, for just everyone).

After exploring Lombok, we were back to Bali. At Bali we have visited prominent places like Celuk village in Ubud – a renowned place for its crafts in gold and silver. We visited satria coffee plantation (This plantation remains best known for offering kopi luwak or civet coffee), Tegalalang Rice field outside Ubud. We also visited to Antonio Blanco Museum, explored Uluwatu temple and enjoyed performance of Kecak dance.

On our last day we visited Garuda Wisnu Kenkana (GWK) Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is a 122-meter tall, located in Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. We also visited Soham Spa for treatment which was an exclusive experience after travelling for so many days. Last but not the least, it was a time for shopping and to take souvenir and memorabilia of Indonesia, so proceeded to Krisna shopping mall. At Krisna, you can buy a lot of essential massage oil, accessories, souvenirs, ready-mades and much more all under one roof, and at affordable prices.

Her Excellency, Tennike Ernam, Acting Consul General of Indonesia in Mumbai said “Indonesia has become a favourite tourist destination for Indians and day by day number of tourists kept on increasing. It is a favourite destinations for Honeymooners and family. The Indonesian government is taking various initiative for attracting more tourists. Indonesia has 70 years long diplomatic relationship which is becoming stronger. We look forward for Indian tourists to visit numerous tourist destinations including Bali and Lombok”.
