One of India’s premiere catering college, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHM) Dehradun will organise multistate food festival. The food festival would be held in mid-December. The food festival will feature recipes of neighbouring states of Uttarakhand. The students of institute are excited and gearing up to showcase their talent during food festival.
Dr. Jagdeep Khanna – Principal IHM Dehradun said “Since we are covered by the boundaries of State of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and our neighbouring country Nepal. I wish to have the Food Festival of all these 3 neighbouring boundaries in second week of December 2019. The preparation for festival is on advanced stage and strategy for make it a grand success is chalked out extensively. Being a premiere catering college, we want to make it a mega event, which will encourage students to come out with innovative ideas”.
Dr. Khanna further elaborated “The country accounted for countless varieties of food which are different from each other. These dishes will be divided area wise and the most popular dishes will be selected and displayed at the venue of IHM Dehradun. The students of the college will explain the preparation methods of the food items displayed to the visitors”.
The food festival will mainly focus on the food, culture and tradition of neighbouring boundaries. Numerous popular delicacies will be featured during the festival, with its own style. The ambiance and arrangements will also reflect the food culture. These food items will be cooked and served in traditional style.
