A hardcore Mumbaikar Chef Altamash Patel has recently joined The Park Mumbai, a 5-Star Boutique hotel with 60 rooms at Juhu Beach in Mumbai. Prior to joining The Park Juhu, he was working as senior Sous Chef at Taj Sats Mumbai, one of the largest kitchens of Asia. In his new capacity, he will showcase his intensive knowledge on culinary and proficient cooking skill in food preparation, presentation and maintaining authenticity. With strong skill in a vast range of Indian cuisine, international cuisines and kitchen management, Chef Altamash is expected to bring an extraordinary culinary skill in the hotel’s menu and manage kitchen team. He will oversee complete management of food production of three restaurants, two banquet venues and room service dining. He will be responsible in sharpening the team in terms of both knowledge and high skill, in order to provide guest the most memorable and authentic experience.
Chef Altamash completed his secondary and higher secondary education from Z B Zakaria English High School, Mumbai and joined Rizvi College of hotel and tourism management studies, Mumbai for his hospitality education Soon after completing his catering education he joined Taj group of hotels in as a Management Trainee in Mumbai. He passed out his hotel management education in flying color. When Passion Turns into a Profession and takes you higher to reach your goals. He was fascinated with cooking right from his childhood and used to observe his mother’s cooking whenever she used to prepare food in the kitchen. Her mother played an important role in shaping his career who laid solid foundation of cooking right from his childhood. His father has also worked for Taj group for 35 long years. To be precise, he was well versed with the importance and growth in hotel industry, as lot many people from his native place Jalgaon in Maharashtra were working in hospitality industry. Although Chef Altamash has not worked full time in foreign countries but had been to many countries to enhance his culinary skills and to participate in various culinary competition and events in Dubai, Singapore and Malaysia.
On his appointment at The Park hotel Chef Altamash says I am immensely happy and excited from bottom of my heart to join The Park, Juhu as an Executive Chef. I am embarking this new journey to pursue my passion which is not only soul-warming but challenging too. The unique and modern artistic concept of The Park Hotel is my biggest inspirations to create a brand new menu that define the art of fine dining at our luxurious restaurants and bars. My vision is to bring our guests an exceptional and memorable dining experience by introducing a characteristic food menu that satisfies taste bud of local, national and international guests of around the world.”
Chef Altamash further added “I am grateful for the wonderful and enriching eight years I spent working for TajSATS. I believe as one grows in his career so does his responsibilities and I am sure that I will not only lead a team of experts but will also learn a lot from them. Everyone is my teacher, some I seek, some I subconsciously attract. Often I learn simply by observing others. Some may be completely unaware that I’m learning from them, yet I bow deeply in gratitude. I hold a Title that many people hold as a dream. I am proud to be a Chef”.
