Bon Appétit: French food and culture celebrated at Lebua Lucknow

In a unique way, Lebua Lucknow celebrated food and culture of France in coordination with Alliance Française as a part of Francophonie week. Artists were invited from France and they weaved a magical evening establishing the fact that music has no language. Guests enjoyed the music, songs and danced on the afro French Jazz tunes. This social evening reflected the aspirations that lebua Lucknow stands for; appreciation of arts, music, literature and history.

This year, the emphasis was on the Provence part of France. Provençal menu was made in coordination with French Chefs. Pernod Ricard India show cased premium spirits at their exclusive bar. Ballantine`s Glenburgie 15 years, Aberlour, Chivas 18 and Spanish Wines were served. The beverages were accompanied by pass arounds like Pissaladièr, Figs & Apricots Bruschetta and Rosemary French Barbeque.

The food display held classics Marseilles Shrimp Stew, Ratatouille, Chasseur, Vegetables Barigoule, Tagliatelle was tossed in a Ragout of Wild Mushrooms. French table Cheese was paired with Prunes & Nuts. Aoili and Ricard Pastis were traditionally symbolic to Marseilles. Traditional Desserts like Croquembouche, Dacquoise, Tarte Tropézienne, Cherries Basque and Crepe Suzette.

Lebua Lucknow carefully restored to retain the Art Deco style of architecture in 20th Century. With a backdrop of the sprawling heritage bungalow. Today it is through art and music that one can relate to a deep feeling of elation – balancing between fulfilment and a yearning for the beloved.

Archana Singh, a resident of Gomti Nagar who attended the event said “It was a wonderful musical evening with difference at Lebua. I’ve found that no matter what life throws at me, music softens the blow and it is the wine that fills the cup of silence. Whenever my family and friends feel like having classic wine and European food with difference, we prefer to come to Lebua, their collection of wines, food and service is outstanding.
