Renaissance Mumbai once again presents a different food festival for Mumbaikar’s. Celebrate the culinary heritage of the Aarey Forest where they will be exhibiting the food and culture of the Warli tribes that live in the green lung of Mumbai, in close vicinity to hotel, Aarey Milk Colony.
This festival will be comprising of the signature dishes of Aarey like sweet steamed modaks, thecha and zavla or dried shrimp, sukka mutton, bhujing kombada, bhareli Vangi ( stuffed brinjals) cooked by the Tribal Tadka Women of Aarey of the WWH Tribal Lunch fame. The excitement doesn’t stop here; these women will also exhibit their products, handicrafts and artifacts at a flea market, set on the patio of the cheery neighbourhood café.
This is one of Renaissance Mumbai’s indigenous events yet, as hotel’s expert chefs have collaborated with the culinary artists of Aarey to prepare a delectable spread filled with native flavor.
Sahil Arora, Executive Chef says “At Renaissance Mumbai, we embrace the destination from a local point of view, acting as a gateway to an authentic experience of the destination.
